Outfit – Houndstooth blazer, crop top & Gucci Marmont | Are designer bags are worth the hype?
Today I have one of my favorite looks lately for you, I wore a similar look in Prague a few weeks ago and got so many positive response from you, that you liked it as well. One more reason to finally share the look on the blog. I paired my beloved houndstooth blazer (which I honestly love so much!) with a crop top I got last summer for only 7€ on sale, so I’m afraid you cannot get it anymore. I paired this combo with a black skinny jeans and these awesome boots. They (obviously) look like the oh so famous Balenciaga boots, but they only cost about 10% of what the Balenciaga ones cost, so if that’s not a plus I don’t know what is. Combined with my current favorite bag and my beloved black belt as well as my favorite pair of sunnies. Really in my opinion these accessories add so much “worth” to the top or the rest of the combo, of course you don’t need such bags or stuff like that in your life, but I still love my babies.
Speaking about that, I get so many requests whether I believe designer bags are worth the hype or not, that I wanted to address this topic quickly. Yes I really think they are better quality than a 20€ Zara bag, but that doesn’t mean that a 20€ Zara bag is something bad. I for myself decided to go with designer bags and ever since I got into them I only use those ones, I also don’t buy any Zara, Mango or H&M bags anymore, just because I know that I probably would only wear them once or twice. However, even though I think they are of course a good quality, some of my babies are actually still not the best quality ever, but when you buy a Gucci bag you usually can expect the service that they repair any issues with your bag. That’s something you cannot expect from High street bags usually. All in all I can totally recommend you spoiling yourself with a designer piece from time to time, as long as you’re totally into it. Always get pieces you genuinely like and you know you’ll wear for years, because most of the “on trend” styles are in my eyes just too extravagant to wear them for 10 years or longer and you’ll probably regret getting them sooner or later. As always, that’s just my opinion, you don’t have to agree with that a hundred percent.
